Campaign Story

My name is Chelsea. I am engaged to an amazing man Matthew. In 2013, at just 21 years old, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. In order to save my life, I underwent a radical trachelectomy to remove the cancer, but I made the difficult decision not to undergo chemotherapy in hopes of one day having a family of my own. Though I’ve been blessed with my health, the journey to motherhood has been anything but easy.

In January 2023, my partner and I began our IVF journey. We were overjoyed when we got pregnant with identical twins on our first attempt, but our hopes were shattered when we miscarried in the second trimester. Since then, we’ve endured several more losses: our second and third transfers didn’t take at all, and we lost other pregnancy at 6 weeks with our fourth transfer. Our fifth attempt also failed.

So far, we’ve spent over $30,000 out of pocket on treatments, and we’re preparing for a sixth transfer. The emotional, physical, and financial toll has been incredibly challenging, and while we’re committed to our dream of becoming parents, the strain is overwhelming.

Any financial support you can offer would help lift a significant burden from our shoulders and allow us to focus on the emotional and physical aspects of this process with a little more peace of mind. Your kindness would mean the world to us and bring us one step closer to the family we’ve been working so hard to build.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and for helping us continue this journey.
